So You Think You Can Dance: Russell Wins!
After an amazing night last night, tonight on “So You Think You Can Dance,” the season’s winner would be announced. But first, we had to have a lot of fluff, right?
The judges picked their favorite routines. Lil C picked Kevin, Legacy, and Russell doing a hip hop number. Then he picked a contemporary routine that he called an “orgy of majestic contemporary artistry.” Only Lil C! Adam picked a Sonya number with Ellenore and Jakob. He also picked an Ellenore and Legacy performance done by Travis Wall. Nigel asked for the tap routine with Philip, Peter, and Bianca then a routine by the entire top 20. Debbie chose an African jazz routine with Noelle and Russell. We had to see the original performance since Russell was injured. Mary chose last night’s hip hop number between Kathryn and Russell.
It was down to Russell, Ellenore, Jakob, Ashleigh, and Kathryn. First out of the competition was Ashleigh. The dancer leaving in fourth place was Ellenore. Out in third was Kathryn. That meant a guy would win season six – and I was pulling for Russell.
Nigel pointed out that Jakob was a polished diamond and Russell wasn’t, but the audience supported them both throughout the season. The winner was…Russell!!! I was a bit sad for Jakob because he was incredible, but I was so glad Russell won. A krumper won “So You Think You Can Dance!!!”
