So You Think You Can Dance: Tappers Bianca and Phillip Leave
“So You Think You Can Dance” is still a bit messed up due to the World Series, so this week, two more would leave the show based on the judge’s decision.
Noelle (yes, for now she is staying on the show) and Russell did a hip hop number that Adam said left them a bit overwhelmed. Mary agreed, saying it was labored. Next up was Ashleigh and Jakob with the Viennese Waltz. Never one of my favorite dances, but these two did well, with the judges praising them.
Bianca and Victor got a Broadway number by Tyce. Nigel felt the characters weren’t strong enough. Mollee and Nathan got a Bollywood number that caused Adam to call Mollee awesome and Mary loved their energy. Once again, Bollywood rules.
Channing and Phillip did the samba. Adam noted they struggled through the piece and Mary knew they were working hard, but still, Phillips footwork was sloppy. Karen and Kevin did a Tabitha and Napoleon hip hop next. Adam thought Karen was hot and Mary put both Karen and Kevin on the hot tamale train.
Kathry and Legacy did contemporary. I was concerned about b-boy Legacy doing contemporary, but he did really well. Even Nigel liked this one. Pauline and Peter did a jazz number that Nigel called memorable. Ellenore and Ryan finished the night with an Argentine tango. Adam was impressed that Ellenore managed to dance with her heel caught in her skirt and while Mary didn’t put them on the hot tamale train, she thought they were great.
The bottom four was Bianca, Phillip, Victor, and Noelle. When it was announced that Bianca and Phillip would be leaving, Nigel said, “That is two tappers gone tonight and it breaks my heart.” Me too Nigel, me too.
