Stepping on the dancers toes
This week the judges were somewhat harsh with the dancers, stepping as it were on many toes. Clyde for one did not appreciate Len’s comments. Well, dancers, the judges have to assert themselves to let the producers know they are worth their paychecks.
Let’s talk dancing - this week the featured dances were the Waltz and the Paso Doble. The only semblance of a Paso Doble was done by Joey and Kim. He actually played the matador part to the hilt. Billy Ray also did a Paso, and while he wasn’t really good, he wasn’t really bad either. He keeps improving every week, and if the show ran for 6 months he might be a fair to middling dancer. As far as John and Leeza go, pass on the Paso, they were pathetic. Laila still can’t figure out that Max leads, she doesn’t. She was more the matador than the cape.
Two of the contestants who performed the waltz, Apolo and Ian, were very very good. Apolo shows a real feel for dancing and should go far in the competition. When Cheryl Burke is your partner, as she is Ian’s, you can go pretty far too. I think Clyde is coming pretty near to the end of his stay on the show. Clyde is a very nice man, and not too bad of a dancer, but he’s too tall for Elena, and they don’t present a good picture on the dance floor. Heather is a lucky girl to have Jonathan choreograph dances for her, because he is extremely sensitive to her handicap. The waltz, however, was not a good dance for her.
Well, who will leave this week? My guess is John or Leeza. The only way your favorite will win is for you to vote for him/her. So ring that phone or point and click on your pc.
