Surprise elimination on DWTS: Kim Kardashian is gone

Well, surprise, surprise, it wasn’t Cloris Leachman who was eliminated, it was Kim Kardashian.  I thought the male viewers would keep the reality star on a little longer just for eye candy if for nothing else.  How can someone who makes a sex tape and struts around to all those Hollywood parties be such a stiff?  Even Mark Ballas, last years champ with Kristi Yamaguchi, couldn’t prolong her stay.

As they have done in past results shows, DWTS  did the recap of yesterday’s performance.  (Like we didn’t see it already)  They also interviewed the contestants, and Kim said she wants to come back for the “dress up”.  I did enjoy seeing Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson reprieve their weird Paso Doble.  How someone so large can be so light on his feet is amazing.

When Tom Bergeron and Samantha Evans proceeded with their announcement of the stars who were remaining, Karina actually seemed surprised (as were many viewers) that she and Rocco were still on the show.  Rocco must have a very large fan base out there somewhere.  Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas went down to the final two and actually made it, that must have taken at least six minutes off her age.

Jessica Simpson sang two numbers, and during the last my husband came into the room and asked, “What is all that Caterwalling?”  Has she always been a screecher, I’m not a fan, so I wouldn’t know.  Good thing Maks and Cheryl were dancing as they diverted my attention.  Maybe she screams because she shoves that microphone down her throat.

The featured Macy’s Stars of Dance was very gimmicky, a combination of street dancing and what I remember as the strip club type of dance you find on the detective shows like NYPD Blue with a little ribbon gymnastics thrown in for good measure.

God love Len and Bruno, they have such a hard life jetting from LA to London, back and forth criticizing in two continents.  Looks to me like they enjoy the life.

No matter how much you criticize, Dancing With the Stars, is still the best reality show on the air.
