Survivor China: Ashley is Voted Off
Tonight showed just how disjointed the Zhan Hu tribe remains. They aren’t working together and it shows. Dave and Ashley were at each other’s throats most of the night, with Sherea siding with Ashley. Over at Fei Long, Aaron and Jean-Robert were going at it. Of course, with reason – apparently, all Jean-Robert does is sleep. That is part of his strategy, but if Fei Long wasn’t winning everything, it might well backfire on him!
Fei Long won the first challenge, which really just turned into a giant mud wrestling match, complete with articles of clothing being removed. For winning, Fei Long got fishing gear and a boat, plus they got to “kidnap” someone from Zhan Hu and chose Jaime. She got a scroll and a tube, which contained a clue about the hidden immunity idol. She thought Leslie was the weakest player, so she gave it to her with no one else on Fei Long knowing about it. For help, Leslie turned to Todd, who had already formed an alliance with Amanda and Aaron.
For the immunity challenge, the teams had to use a wooden puzzle log to break down two walls. They then had to move the puzzle through a maze. Zhan Hu fell way behind when Dave, the tribe leader, tried to do most of the pounding to get the walls down. Frosti took over and they caught up but still lost. So, they had to head to tribal council again.
Everyone on Zhan Hu knew that the conflict between Dave and Ashley had to end, but I think everyone but Sherea saw that Dave was more of an asset to the tribe. Ashley was voted off by a vote of four to one, but promised Dave she would see him soon!
