Survivor Fans vs. Favorites: Erik is Eliminated
This week’s episode almost made me physically ill. I had read in TV Guide that Jeff said the stupidest Survivor moment ever was coming up this week, but I had no idea how stupid it actually was.
Erik kept telling all the girls different things. Then, he realized his mistake. He told Natalie he would send her to Exile if he won the reward challenge, then sent Parvati and took Amanda with him to the luxury resort. It looked bad for Natalie until she pointed out to the others that he was trying to play them all.
They had decided to evict him, but superman Erik won immunity for like the bazillionth time. I mean he just out and out beat them bad. I was so happy – I wanted Erik to make it into the final three. He was sitting pretty.
But, his naïveté kicked in big time. The girls decided the only way they could get rid of him was to convince him he had made enemies. Natalie told him if he gave her the immunity necklace, they would all vote Amanda out. He got Cirie’s word too. At first he resisted, but they kept after him – even at tribal.
And, darned if he didn’t fall for it! Ugh. I hate this game! He was worried about jury votes, but the minute he gave up that necklace, everyone broke up into laughter. It was as if the girls couldn’t believe they had actually pulled it off. Ozzy was shaking his head and James was rolling, later saying, “I lost my reign” as the dumbest Survivor. Jeff called it a “life lesson” and even Erik said he “should have known better.”
Well, with Erik gone, I honestly don’t care who wins. I guess Amanda is the lesser of four evils. I really don’t want Natalie and her prune face to win. Cirie has ticked me off the entire season. Parvati has made some bold moves, but I don’t see anyone voting for her in the final three anyhow.
