Survivor Fans vs. Favorites: Mikey B is Eliminated

Everyone at the fans camp felt that Chet wasn’t doing his share, which appears to be true from the filming. While over at the favorites camp, Eliza was feeling ill and on the verge of death, according to Dr. James. Both know that they are this-close to going home if their team lost the challenge.

The reward challenge was to swim to a platform, dive, and get out a coconut (which had a letter on it) out of a steel cage, then place it in a bin. Then, once all the coconuts where retrieved, those four tribe members has to carry it to the remaining tribe members, who would use the coconuts to spell out a word. The winner got three egg-laying hens, a rooster, and some feed. Ozzy pulled several coconuts close to the cage opening, so it would be quick and easy for the others to retrieve them. This gave them a great advantage – their word was “triumphant” and they were. The favorites sent Ozzy and Kathy to Exile Island. Kathy has given up on finding the hidden immunity idol. Ozzy told her he was going to get food, but secretly searched for the idol and found it. Inspired by Yau-Man, he tried to create a fake idol for someone else to find.

The immunity challenge was for six of the tribe members to get into a harness on a six point sliding hub. They had to one by one find a key to undo their lock, and then maneuver their way long a pathway to pick up necklaces on the way to a wheel. They would take the necklaces off at the wheel and the remaining tribe members would us the necklaces to spell out a phrase. Again, the favorites got off to a big lead and won this challenge as well.

Everyone seemed set on who they planned to vote for. In front of Chet, Joel was saying it would be Chet or Kathy going tonight. But Tracy started spinning her magic and told Joel that Mikey B wanted Chet gone, that he was still running the show, and Joel needed to show him who was the boss and vote him out tonight.

I am not saying I don’t like him, but Joel is beginning to remind me of a big, dumb dog. He wants to be the alpha dog and doesn’t want anyone to tell him what to do, but he allowed it this week. And from one of the weakest players there!

So at tribal, the team was arguing over losing challenges and wondering whether to keep the players that could help them mentally or physically. In the end, Tracy did her job – Mikey B was voted off, which seemed to come as no surprise to him. Ouch, I guess Joel showed Mikey B who is in charge this week – Tracy!
