Survivor Fans vs. Favorites: Yau-Man is Eliminated
Oh, this just ticked me off. My husband thought I was going to explode when Yau-man was eliminated tonight. I only had two real favorites on the favorites tribe – Yau and James. I had no opinion really of Cirie before tonight because I didn’t watch her season, but now I certainly have an opinion which I will share later.
The fans were miserable due to rain and cold. None could sleep, but they seemed to liven up a bit when they got tree mail telling them they were going to war and to get painted. I especially liked Erik’s paint job. Does anyone else think of 70’s heartthrob Leif Garret when they see Erik?
Anyhow, the challenge was a bit like football, but the teams had to carry and keep five bags in their end zone. Each team only had three bags and you could steal bags from the other team at any time – even from their end zone. After the lead went back and forth, finally, the favorites won. They got to choose three reward items – shelter, lighting kit, and survival kit. They sent Kathy and Ami to Exile Island, which was fruitless because Kathy didn’t want to help Amy and then a torrential downpour came over the islands, which kept them in.
Cirie felt that no one was kissing her butt enough, considering she was the swing vote. She wanted to vote for Yau and made a pact with Amanda and Parvati to go to the end together, even dumping the guys along the way. For the immunity challenge, the teams had to play basketball with coconuts. The problem was four members of each team were holding up the baskets catching the coconuts that made it in. The first team to drop their basket lost the challenge. Both were making pretty good shots, but in the end, it was the favorites that dropped first, giving the fans immunity.
The favorites are still split between the couples and the other four with Cirie doing the best thing for her. Jonathan started talking to her about being in their alliance. But, Cirie was stuck on voting for Yau. Even Ozzie tried to convince her to vote for Eliza, but she was dead set on Yau. It seemed like the couples were going to vote for Eliza while the other four were going to vote for Parvati.
At tribal, Cirie and Jonathan got into it again. Even before tribal, James said she was trying to lead things, which she is. And personally, I hope she put a big ole target on her back. After all the trouble she caused before tribal, I was wondering why the other eight didn’t gang up together to vote HER off tonight.
Anyhow, there were five votes for Yau, two for Parvati, and one for Cirie. Cirie had a smug look after the vote, but I am afraid she has dug a grave for herself. If she really thinks she is “in” with the two couples, I think she has another thing coming. I don’t think James will put up with her attitude much longer.
