Survivor Gabon: Crystal is Voted Out
Oh, how quickly the game of Survivor can change! Matty confronted Kenny about voting for him and Kenny and Crystal started bullying Matty. He looked on the outs, sure to leave tonight, but Sugar didn’t like the bullying and decided to do something about it. And Bob, dear Bob – he seems so nice, maybe too nice, but Bob isn’t quite as gullible as I feared.
He felt bad after Kenny dumped on him about Corinne not using the idol and how it exposed him as a traitor, made him look bad, and now he was a target. When I heard the words “If I win immunity, I will give you the necklace” come out of Bob’s mouth, I thought “Nooooo.” Bob won the Reward Challenge, which was a cool trip to a gorilla sanctuary. He took Crystal and Kenny with him and it was so sweet when he said that he felt a connection with the apes that “rocked my soul.”
Then, I’ll be darned if he didn’t turn around and win the Immunity Challenge! Kenny planned for Bob to give him the necklace, and then he and Crystal would convince everyone to vote Bob off. They told Sugar of the plan, which was a big mistake. Sugar told Bob and Bob trusted her. Kenny told everyone else to tell Bob that they were voting for him, but Sugar got to them first. Sugar asked everyone to vote for Crystal then they would get Kenny next.
At Tribal, Kenny moaned again about how he had had a bad feeling all day and he thought everyone was going to vote for him, but said Bob had promised to give up the necklace if he won. Actually, Bob corrected him, they had come to the determination that Bob would give the necklace up IF Bob thought Kenny was in trouble.
Jeff reminded them that if anyone had the immunity idol, this was the last night to play it. Earlier, Matty had told Sugar when the others were at the sanctuary that she could save him by giving him the idol, but she said no. However, I was rolling when Sugar had a change of heart and told Matty to take this thing away and he gave it to Jeff. The jury was rolling. And what was up with Randy’s Mohawk?
Not that it really mattered, but the symbolism of Sugar giving Matty the idol could not have been lost on Mr. “I’m the Puppet Master” Kenny. After voting was over, Crystal still had four votes to Matty’s two and she was sent to the jury. Sugar said that she knew Bob was a threat, but he was a good guy.
Man, I would love to see Bob win this whole thing! Tune in Sunday night for the finale!
