Survivor Gabon: Marcus is Eliminated

This week on Survivor, Susie says she feels like she has power, but I didn’t see it. Matty, Crystal, Sugar, and Kenny decided to go to the final four together, but that seemed written in invisible ink.

The tribes went to what they thought was the merge feast. What it actually turned out to be was the tribes filling their bellies, all remaining tribe members deciding to throw away an easily found immunity idol (don’t ask, don’t even ask), then finding out that they weren’t merging, but redistributing tribes again. Oh, about the immunity idol, Marcus suggested they throw it in the ocean and Randy agreed. They put the idol on the table and asked if anyone wanted it and in what I can only explain as mass hysteria, no one wanted it and they indeed threw it in the ocean.

The new Kota tribe was Bob, Marcus, Susie, Crystal, and Kenny. The new Fang tribe was Randy, Corrine, Matty, Charlie, and Sugar. Now, Susie might have some power finally. She told Marcus she could flip. Meanwhile, over at Fang, Matty confronted Sugar about turning on Ace so quickly. She realizes she got played by Crystal and Kenny.

The challenge was to balance poles on the tops of their hands. First tribe to lose all their members would go to tribal council. Crystal maybe made it a second (seriously) before dropping her poles. Sugar and Susie quickly fell as well. Poor Bob held on for Kota, but lost it in the end and Matty won immunity for Fang.

My question is “who died and made Randy king?” Tonight, he was boosting how he found the idol in “7 secs” (he did, but still) and how he was the “king of Gabon.” I don’t remember Randy doing much except fussing, so where this sense of greatness comes from, I am not sure.

Marcus wants Kenny to go home and talks to Crystal about it. Oh, I forgot to mention those two were new BFFs since they somehow found out that Marcus’ best friend is Crystal’s cousin. Crystal questions Marcus wanting to knock off her “number one ally.” Marcus says Crystal is the least threatening, but Susie wants her to go. Susie decides to stay with Marcus – for now. Kenny and Crystal get together and Crystal tells Kenny he’s a target. They decide they need Susie’s vote to help them keep Kenny there. Crystal tells Susie that Marcus is lying to her about taking her to the final three (actually, she’s not that much of a threat, why not take her?). But, Susie doesn’t know whether to trust Crystal. Dang, she DOES have power!

At tribal, Susie played the power card in a big way. Last week, big man Ace was taken out and this week, my pick for the winner, Marcus, was blindsided too. Bob looked worried, but who knows – I think Crystal might turn on anyone at this point.
