Survivor: Russell S. Drops During Competition; Leaves the Show
Everyone on “Survivor” was miserable after five straight days of rain. Hands and feet were shriveled and we are not talking bathtub shrivel here. Russell S. may have felt guilty for choosing the pillows over the tarp because he worked himself ragged out in the rain and cold while everyone else huddled for comfort. So much so that he refused to sit out the challenge and collapsed. The prize for the winning team was hot pizza, but Jeff stopped the challenge (for the first time ever) and called for medical after Russell collapsed. Jeff said it was his scariest moment in the history of the show when Russell sat up and his heartbeat dropped 30+ beats immediately. Medical finally decided Russell couldn’t continue. He tried to protest, but Jeff insisted he leave.
Jeff had told each tribe that for the first time ever, both would attend tribal and both would send someone home. Back at the different tribes, they tried to decide who would leave. Galu had decided to keep Shambo around and Russell H. was telling everyone that Liz should be the next to go. As it turned out, it was all for naught.
At tribal, Jeff told the tribes that Russell S. had to be evacuated out and that there would not be a vote tonight. Everyone seemed relieved, but some from Foa Foa spoke up, saying that they were leading the challenge when Jeff stopped it and Galu had better watch out. Galu tribe members scoffed at that notion and headed back to select a new leader.
