Survivor Samoa: Dave and Monica Leave
I am thinking instead of “Survivor Samoa” this season should be called “Survivor Russell.” The man never fails to amaze me!
Everyone’s thoughts started turning to winning over the jury. As I looked around, I realized that no one really has done anything to win votes other than Russell. The puppet master has ruled the game since Day 1. I am still amazed that Foa Foa came into the merge with only four members to the eight from Galu and now, Foa Foa is still four strong and now has the numbers. How did that happen? One word – Russell.
Tonight was a two elimination episode. Jaison won the first immunity idol. Oh sure, he has turned on a little bit of heat in the last two episodes, but is it “too little too late?” Unless he or Mick pulls a coup on Russell, they aren’t going to get anyone’s vote.
I thought the plan was to get rid of Shambo, but everyone voted for Dave, as she wished and Dave headed to the jury.
Next immunity idol was won by Brett, which put a monkey wrench into Russell’s plan of sending him home. Monica stirred up some crap by telling Russell that “Natalie, no Jaison” told her he was a multi-millionaire. Russell confronted Natalie, who denied it. Rightfully so, as it was Jaison. But, when Russell fond out from Brett that it was indeed Jaison, Jaison played it off as Monica desperately trying to save herself.
Jaison told Natalie and Mick they needed to make a tough decision that night, but as it turns out, the lemmings followed Russell…again. He is in such control that at the second tribal, he not only pulled out the hidden immunity idol and put it around his neck as soon as he sat down, he didn’t even use it! He got two votes – from Brett and Monica – but everyone else voted Monica out. All I could say of Russell’s bravado at tribal was “Damn!”

monica looks so painfully delusional with that maniacal grin and trying to claim credit for something that would have had happened on its own. a desperate face-saving attempt. fooled no one. most irritating person ever, made me root for russell for a change
