Survivor Samoa: Erik Leaves
This week on “Survivor,” the few left in Foa Foa was hoping for a merge week. The merge occurred and what followed was whole lot of game play.
The new tribe is called Aiga, Samoan for “extended family” but they should have chosen whatever is Samoan for “dysfunctional family.” Oh everything started out nicely enough. Russell started schmoozing with Galu people, showing off his idol and saying no one else knew he had it. He and Shambo became instant BFFs and he convinced everyone to vote Laura out.
That worked really well right up until the immunity challenge. It was t-ball, so immunity was offered to both a male and female. Guess which female won immunity? That’s right, Laura.
John beat out Russell at the last minute, so he too was safe. Russell went to Shambo and wanted to get Monica out, but Shambo said no. Laura ran around telling everyone that Russell had the idol. Erik wanted Jaison out then Monica, but by some miracle, Natalie turned it all around when she, Jaison, and Mick were confronted by Erik. He told them to vote Monica, but keep Russell in the dark because Galu people wanted to flush out his idol. They figured they were screwed either way and agreed, but Natalie tells Laura that Erik wanted to get rid of Monica and she spreads it all over camp. Suddenly everyone is running around whispering and it made Russell nervous. Seriously, I have not seen him nervous this whole season until now. Erik was now the bad guy and Natalie promised the girls at Galu their vote for Erik.
At tribal, Erik talked trash about Jaison. Russell, still scared, played his immunity idol, just as Erik had wanted. But, oh, Erik didn’t realize he was the real threat and they blindsided him with seven votes. Bye Erik, bye bye.
