Survivor Samoa: Shambo is Voted Off
While “Survivor” tribe member Brett and Natalie bonded over Christianity, Shambo and Russell bonded over her hair. Actually, Shambo wanted a haircut and Russell just wanted to talk trash about her mullet.
The Reward Challenge was to walk and pull ropes to drop as few coconuts as possible. The first team to drop 100 coconuts loses. The other team gets a feast and sleep on a mattress at a local village. The captains were Russell and Natalie. Natalie chose Brett and Mick. Russell chose Jaison and Shambo. Natalie and Brett prayed during the challenge. Russell was suspicious that Brett was her first choice. It is always a bad thing to make Russell suspicious…of anything. Jaison dropped 48 coconuts all in one round, which put Team Natalie way out front. Then Natalie dropped 58, which was odd because that is exactly what Shambo said she was hoping for before Natalie pulled the string. Dang, maybe Shambo IS clairvoyant after all! Russell the coconut master pulled a string without dropping any coconuts. Please just give this man the check now! It all came down to Brett. He pulled and 23 coconuts fell, which mean Team Russell won. Shambo loved being with the native tribe.
Russell decided he trusted Natalie, but put the thought of distrust in Shambo and Jaison’s head to get rid of Brett or Mick, just because they were likable guys who were a threat. He told Natalie that the others were freaking out because she picked Mick, so now they have to get rid of him. But, he was sending Shambo and Jaison after Brett.
The Immunity Challenge was to race to a field, count objects in six stations, use tiles to remember the number, and then use the tiles to solve a lock. Of course, everyone’s combination was different, so there could be no cheating. Brett won immunity, which again messed up Russell’s plans. Jaison told Russell that they had to get rid of Shambo. Russell was torn between Mick and Shambo.
At tribal, everyone mentioned how strong Brett was. Too bad he had that immunity idol around his neck! Russell kept his hidden immunity idol as a “souvenir.” All votes were for Shambo except for one for Mick. And like that, clairvoyant Shambo was gone. Yet, another blindside.
