Survivor Samoa: The New Season Begins
The new season of “Survivor” started off with a bang – before the contestants even met each other, they had to pick a leader. Galu, which consists of Monica, Erik, Shambo, John, Dave, Brett, Yasmin, Laura, and Kelly, picked Russell S., an attorney, to be their leader. Foa Foa, which consists of Marisa, Liz, Russell H., Ben, Jaison, Mike, Natalie, Betsy, and Ashley, picked Mick, the doctor. Each leader had to pick the contestants they felt were the best swimmer, the strongest, the most agile, and the smartest for the first competition. Jaison turned out to be a better swimmer than John and Foa Foa won flint.
It only took about 10 minutes into the new season of “Survivor” to find the villain – Russell H. While everyone else slept, he emptied their water cans and burned Jaison’s socks just to mess with people. He also formed an alliance with the “dumb ass girls” and told a made up sob story about being a Hurricane Katrina victim. While being a villain may get him kicked off early, I doubt Russell H. cares – he is a multi-millionaire oil company owner!
Galu won the immunity challenge, so Foa Foa had to evict someone. Marisa told Russell H. that she was worried because he was going around talking to other people (she was in the DAG alliance). He turned on her, going around telling everyone that he was just trying to be friendly, but Marisa had attacked him. He also threw Ashley under the bus in the process. At tribal, he played the victim to Marisa’s suspicions again and Marisa was the first Survivor voted out. Right now, it does look as if Russell H. is running his entire tribe.
