Survivor Tocandins: Debbie is Eliminated
I missed the first eight minutes of tonight’s “Survivor” because we had tornado warnings in our area, but when the show finally resumed, I realized it was where the contestants bid on items, hoping it was something good. J.T. got nachos (and they did look good!) then let Stephen have the next item. Unfortunately, it was chicken hearts. Stephen ate them – I guess if you are hungry enough, you eat anything. The last item was a cell phone with messages from home. Jeff said they could pool money and everyone gave their money to Taj so she could talk to her family. She was so happy and crying, she missed the part where her husband said he would see her back at the camp until Jeff pointed it out.
But, Jeff had bad news – well sort of. He said Taj could see Eddie back at camp or everyone else could see a loved one if she went to Exile – but, Eddie would be with her. She chose to go to Exile with Eddie and it was just a complete lovefest for a while because everyone was so happy. Of course, Coach told his assistant coach that he was running the show. Then, he had him crack his bones. Coach is just different – that is all I can say – different. And, Eddie was afraid the snakes and scorpions, but he started a mean fire.
Debbie planned to throw Coach under the bus. She made some amazing offers – even offering to give J.T. the immunity idol if it came down to the three of them because she was happy with third place. Like J.T. said, no one is happy with third place. The more and more J.T. and Stephen thought about her offers and willingness to turn on Coach, the more it worked against her.
Stephen won the immunity idol in an amazing comeback. The contestants had to go through three obstacles, and then memorize a series of 10 spinning math symbols. Then they had to go back through the obstacles, write down the symbols they could remember, and solve the math equation. While J.T. got an early lead, he had to go back to check the symbols again. Stephen got tripped up by the balance beam then stood looking at the symbols for a long time, but he wrote them all down correctly after just one visit. However, J.T. was still happy since they are buddies.
In the end, they weren’t buddies with Debbie. They went and told Taj everything and Debbie was voted out. Coach survived for another week, but how much longer can they keep the dragonslayer around?
