Survivor Tocantins: Coach Is Voted Off
It was down to five on “Survivor” and after the elimination of Debbie, Coach realized he was no longer in control. After sucking up to J.T. and Stephen, he sort of volunteered to go to Exile while still offering up Erinn and Taj. Since they had both been, J.T., who won the reward challenge, decided to send Coach.
Apparently the Dragon slayer decided to play the sympathy card. All of the sudden, his back was out and his asthma was terrible. When he found out he was going to Exile, he vowed not to eat or build a fire. Erinn gave him some crap about that for martyring himself. That ticked off J.T. and Stephen and it looked like she might be going home.
Coach returned from Exile with a cane and looking like he could barely walk. Taj cracked me up when she said that once the competition was over, the people could take Coach to the mental institution. The immunity challenge was for the contestants to brace themselves between door frames with their feet on a tiny foothold. After 15 minutes, they moved down to a tinier foothold and after 30 minutes, they moved to a foothold that looked to be about ½ inch, if that. Erinn dropped while moving to the third foothold, and Stephen and Taj quickly followed. It was between Coach and J.T. For a while, Coach looked like he was just waiting on a bus, but then he gave out a scream and fell off, dropping to the ground like a bag of sand.
Falling for it, Stephen ran over with this total look of concern on his face. When Jeff asked Coach if he wanted medical assistance, he said no, it was just a back spasm and to please not have anyone look at his back. Back at camp, he seemed fine. J.T. told Coach he would vote for Erinn and while Stephen didn’t say he would vote for Erinn, Coach seemed confident. However, Stephen didn’t know who he was going to vote for. It was a sure bet that Erinn and Taj had had enough of Coach and were voting for him, so it all came down to Stephen.
At tribal, Coach recited a poem he had written, which prompted all the women to either roll their eyes or look completely bored. When the votes were read, it was revealed that Stephen did turn on Coach and voted him out. J.T. didn’t look really happy, which leads me to wonder why Stephen would want to piss off the guy who took him on the reward challenge and promised they would go to the final 2 together. But then again, there might be some crazy people on the jury who would vote for Coach if he made it to the finals. No one is going to vote for Erinn.
