Survivor Tocantins: JT Wins!
It was down to the final four on “Survivor,” and Taj made the mistake of trusting her alliance. Oh Taj, you can’t do that with only four people left, especially when both JT and Stephen realize that if they take Erinn to the final three, she ain’t winning.
It hurt them both, but after JT won immunity, the Jalapao Three began to eat their own and he and Stephen ousted Taj. She said at tribal she would be totally shocked if they voted for her, but she seemed to take it well. Everyone liked Taj – they couldn’t take her with them. On the other hand, Erinn seems to annoy everyone, even JT and Stephen with her constant talking.
Of course, she told Stephen if she won immunity, she would take him. He was unsure who to take, knowing that he could beat Erinn, but hated to turn on JT. JT swore on his life he was taking Stephen to the final two, but after winning immunity for a second time in a row, he said promises in this show were made to be broken.
JT asked Erinn if Stephen told her he would take her to the final two and she told him “Yeah.” JT told Erinn she would be the more logical person to take, which is like saying “You suck, so I would be assured a win.”
JT didn’t take mama’s advice of “Don’t do anything stupid” and kept Stephen, his only real competition. So now what? Does the jury look at JT as an honorable man who deserves one million dollars or do they look at Stephen as a master manipulator who got his friend to forgo the obviously weaker opponent and therefore deserving of one million dollars?
The questioning came down to the Yale educated dude versus the country boy. JT told Brandon that Stephen hid during some of the challenges, but Stephen said it was his intention to hide. Debbie wanted Stephen to honestly say if JT would be sitting next to him if he had won immunity. Stephen tried to cop out, saying he didn’t know but Debbie forced him to say Erinn. Then, it was Coach’s turn. Oh geesh, here comes the bull. He wanted JT to give an example of honesty late in the game. Duh, he promised Stephen he would take him to the final two and he did. Stephen said he chose to bear the moral burden of voting for those he knew was leaving. Okay. Sierra said JT took the weakest player with him, rather than the strongest and therefore lost her respect. She is still goofy. Thank goodness she didn’t stay long. JT told Tyson he could have done it without Stephen, but it wouldn’t have been as easy. Stephen played the “That really hurts” card.
The questioning was boring compared to most years. No one is really upset – oh wait, Taj is up. She just turned Stephen and JT into a bickering married couple! JT said Stephen talked crap about him and he felt like a fool for bringing him with him.
Good grief – JT and Stephen looked like two completely different people back in the studio! And the winner is…JT. For only the second time in “Survivor” history, the vote was unanimous.
