SYTYCD – The Final Ten Perform
As of tonight, things change. The judges no longer get to vote, only the public. And former partnerships are gone. There will be new ones each week and you vote for individuals, not a couple.
I wasn’t crazy about Wade Robson’s anti-war peace piece. This was the solo that every dancer had to perform. It seemed jerky, except when Danny performed it. I think I liked Sabra’s version best. Mia Michaels, tonight’s guest judge, said Sabra is now her favorite. The judges didn’t like Pasha’s performance and didn’t really care for Dominic either. They loved Lacey and Lauren.
As for the couples, Pasha impressed the judges dancing hip-hop with Lauren. They didn’t like Kameron’s contemporary routine with Sabra. We saw Dmitry from last season (woohoo) choreograph a routine for Lacey and Danny that Mia felt was the hottest of the season. Jaimie and Dominic did the Viennese Waltz and neither was praised, but they were especially hard on Dominic. Sara and Neil finished up with a disco routine that the judges thought was fabulous.
Who is going home this week? It is hard to say – it really comes down to as much of a personality competition as a dancing competition with the home audience voting. I would say maybe Dominic and Lauren are in jeopardy, but as I said, it is really, really hard to tell.
