SYTYCD: Anya and Hok Eliminated
Each week just seems tougher and tougher for the viewing audience and the judges to decide who goes home. After a cute Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy performance by the final 12, we learned the bottom three were Anya and Danny, Jaimie and Hok, and Lauren and Neil. Mary said she didn’t understand why Anya and Danny kept falling in the bottom three. Nigel felt Hok had been challenged in the last couple of weeks. Wade was very surprised Lauren and Neil were in the bottom three, as he loved their performance.
After a great routine by tap dancer Jason Samuel Smith, we learned the results. The judges were not unanimous about the girl leaving. After dismissing Jaimie as safe, Nigel said the judges felt Lauren hadn’t reached her potential, but she did tonight in her solo performance and Anya, often criticized for not being a strong solo dancer, was sent home.
For the guys, the decision was unanimous. One of the crowd’s favorites, Hok, was sent home. He said he rather expected it, but the audience heavily booed the decision anyhow. So now we will see Jaimie and Danny together – maybe she can endear that coupling to the viewing audience.
