SYTYCD: Jimmy and Faina Eliminated
This was a tough week. I knew it would be, but I was still surprised by the results. Somehow, inexplicably, Pasha and Jessi ended up in the bottom three. All the judges were just shocked. Also in the bottom three were Shauna and Jimmy and Faina and Cedric. Nigel had told Faina and Cedric that he thought they would be in the bottom three, so that was rather expected.
So, the dancers had to “dance for their life.” The judges all agreed that Shauna did just that. She was incredible in her solo. I thought Faina did well, however, the judges didn’t. I found that Jessi was the one that impressed me the least with her solo. The judges didn’t like it either, but they ended up sending Faina home. It was a unanimous decision by the judges.
The guys were tougher to judge. Last week, they kept Cedric over Ricky, saying they had to celebrate his uniqueness. This week, they were once again stuck with choosing between Cedric’s uniqueness and the talent of Jimmy. It was not a unanimous decision. Mary, who had chosen uniqueness last week and voted for Cedric, changed her mind and went with Jimmy. Mia was sticking with Cedric. Nigel said he was in the middle, which was shocking since he had told Cedric earlier that he didn’t think this competition was for him. However, Nigel voted for Cedric and Jimmy was sent home, which was sad – Jimmy was a good dancer. However, Nigel warned Cedric that if he let his partner down and was in the bottom three next week, he would not vote for him. So next week should be interesting.
