SYTYCD: Who Will Be the Final Four?
Tonight, we saw each couple perform two dances and each dancer do a solo. The guest judge was the magnificent Debbie Allen. The show was only an hour, so it moved at a breathtaking speed.
First up were Pasha and Lacey who chose hip hop and smooth waltz. For the hip hop routine, Lacey was playing the part of a mannequin, so for the first time, she didn’t upstage her partner because she didn’t have as many moves. The judges praised them both, with Mary calling it flawless. Lacey seemed a bit fearful of the smooth waltz, but again, it was incredible. Danny and Lauren danced a Mia Michael’s contemporary routine and disco. The judges loved both, with Debbie saying the contemporary was passion and perfection personified. Of course, Nigel loved the disco routine. Sabra and Niel got jazz and the paso doble. The jazz was described as a 80s power lunch. I was a bit confused by the description, but the routine was fun and exciting. Debbie Allen thought their paso doble would bore her, but she loved it and for the first time in the competition, Neil made it on Mary’s hot tamale train.
I honestly cannot begin to predict who will go home this week. Each dancer was flawless, except for one hand move during the waltz that Nigel pointed out. I think it may be the end for Pasha and Lauren, but I hesitate to say that because they both performed so well last night.
