SYTYCD: Who’s Going Home This Week?

Tonight, choreographer Adam Shankman was filling in as the third judge.  Cat questioned Nigel about Jessi leaving and he said while it was unfortunate, someone had to go each week and compared it to the Olympics, saying you wouldn’t postpone the competition just because someone hurt themselves the day before.

We learned a few secrets about the dancers, such as Lacey has a weave, Anya studied law, Pasha is a computer nerd, and Dominic has a crush on Cat.  And Hok – who would have pictured Hok playing the violin?

Lacey and Kameron danced the hustle.  Rather then the line dance most people know, they did a great dance that was “awesome showmanship” according to Adam. Cedric and Shauna danced the mambo.  Cedric really stepped up his game – perhaps for the first time, at least in Mary’s eyes.  All were impressed with his performance.  Danny and Anya got contemporary, which I don’t think could have suited them any better.  Adam and Nigel actually got into an argument about Danny’s not making people want to pick up the phone.  Adam felt it was because Danny was arrogant, but Nigel said he was talking crap.  Pasha and Sarah were together as a new pair to dance the west coast swing.  It was choreographed by Benji (could he be any funnier?) and it was simply great.  Nigel called it “magic.”  Sabra and Dominic got hip-hop and Mary thought that was magic.  Nigel said it was terrible…that it lasted for such a short time.  Hok and Jaimie danced the waltz.  Definitely not Hok’s kind of dance, but he tried.  Lauren and Neil did a jazz number that Nigel said “saved the best for last.”

Who’s in the bottom three this time?  Man, this year is tough.  I hate to say it, but I think it will be Hok and Jaimie, Cedric and Shauna, and Danny and Anya, but honestly, it would be anyone.  Most of the dances were great and the only one that was a bit lacking was Hok and Jaimie and he has such a huge fan base, I don’t know if they will allow him to be in the bottom three.
