The 2006 American Idol is ….. Taylor Hicks. It was a record setting vote this year, with over 60 million people voting for either Taylor or Katharine. Both singers were fantastic yesterday, but I gave the slight advantage to Taylor, as did Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges. America agreed with the judges, voting for Taylor Hicks. Now, I have a feeling that both Katharine and Taylor will have successful careers in the music industry, Taylor is just guaranteed a recording contract because of his victory.
