Team TTOW Takes it. MoJo Out.
Team TTOW and Hippie Power took BJ and Tyler from last place with no cash and limited clothing (BJ arrived at the previous Pitstop in shorts and no shoes) to first place and a chance to race in the finale with two other teams. BJ and Tyler took the lead by going with Ray and Yolanda to a Fast Forward option. The task was for each to consume a large bowl of deep fried crickets and grasshoppers. Yolanda quickly concluded she wouldn’t finish so they bailed. From that point BJ and Tyler only had to finish with a decent time. With the Fast Forward they skipped the Roadblock and Detour and headed right to the Pitstop for first place.
MoJo was out from the beginning to beat the hippies, but in the end they failed. Joseph and Monica were the last to arrive and Phil gave them the boot. Lucky for us viewers, a bit more of the MoJo drama was provided before they went down. It was way too much like the scene with the fish in the market. First Monica struggles, then a pot drops, then another, and ten pots later she’s crying and apologizing. Joseph deserves some sort of award for not flipping out on her and was instead calm and understanding trying to keep her motivated and focused on the task at hand.
Next week is actually a two-hour finale with BJ and Tyler, Eric and Jeremy, and Ray and Yolanda all given the final chance to race for the $1 Million. I guess I’m going for the underdogs and would like to see Ray and Yolanda take it all. Eric and Jeremy are superficial and immature, sure; but who cares? They’re young and having fun and have been a blast to watch each week. I have nothing against the hippies; I think BJ and Tyler are great, but they’re the last on a short list of three. That’s just how it goes sometimes.
