The Amazing Race: Azaria and Hendekea are Eliminated
It always sucks when one of the strongest teams is eliminated. It happened last season to Rob and Amber and now it has happened to Azaria and Hendekea. How did it happen? They got tickets for a flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia, but the agent mistakenly put them in the business class section. That is a violation of the rules – contestants have to fly economy. That put them way behind – enough to lose the game for them.
TK and Rachel and Donald and Nicolas also ran into problems. Both missed their connecting flight to Dubrovnick and ended up scrambling for connecting flights. The Roadblock and Detour didn’t get much airtime this episode as most of it was spent watching the teams rush to get where they were supposed to be. Even Nathan and Jennifer were sent back from the pit stop because they didn’t take a legal form of transportation. The taxi drivers refused to take them because they were wet from the Detour. So they left the pit stop and had to return in a taxi.
Ronald and Christina got there first, winning a 12 ½ foot catamaran. Nathan and Jennifer arrived second, but Phil couldn’t check them in until they went back down and took a taxi back up. So, Kynt and Vyxsin came in second and Nathan and Jennifer came in third. It seems like their relationship may be over as, after founding out they finished third, they shook hands. TK and Rachel came in fourth. Donald and Nicolas didn’t see anyone for the longest, then realized Azaria and Hendekea were behind them. They managed to beat them, finishing in fifth.
Azaria and Hendekea were told they were eliminated. I know Phil said there would be two non-elimination pit stops – when are they going to happen? I was hoping this would be one – I hated to see Azaria and Hendekea eliminated.
