The Amazing Race: Kynt and Vyxsin are Eliminated
The teams left from Italy to fly to Mumbai, India, the city formerly known as Bombay. It changed its name in 1995, but apparently, I didn’t get the memo. I hate when cities do that! Kynt and Vyxsin arrived last for the last leg, so they had to endure the new “Speed Bump” this episode.
Nathan and Jennifer talked about how their relationship was getting better, but of course, that didn’t last long. They argued while Jennifer strung wedding garland as part of the detour. Of course, Ron and Christina argued while they took the other detour – to hang a Bollywood poster. Kynt and Vyxsin found their speed bump, which was to perform yoga poses. They loved that and came out feeling more relaxed.
Perhaps a bit too relaxed, as it turns out. Kynt and Vyxsin chose to string the wedding garland as well, so they saw Jen and Nathan were there, working on their garland. But, Kynt and Vyxsin finished before them and the next stop was a U-Turn. They could have chosen to u-turn Jennifer and Nathan, but instead, they oddly chose to u-turn Nicholas and Donald, who were already well into completing the roadblock. Kynt and Vyxsin really messed themselves up here. When you are in a five team race and you KNOW one team is behind you, why would you chose to U-Turn a team that you haven’t seen in a while? That just opened the door for the fighting Nathan and Jennifer to come in fourth place. Well, it also would have helped their cause if Kynt had not given the people the receipts when he delivered the propane gas as part of the roadblock. He wasted time having to go back and gather those receipts up.
TK and Rachel pulled it together and finished in first. The unlikely, yet coming on strong team of Donald and Nicholas finished in second. Ronald (who finally admitted Christina was right about the poster) finished in third. I think Jennifer and Nathan are out next round unless something miraculous happens.
