The Amazing Race: Marianna and Julia Eliminated
Tonight the teams flew to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Yeah, I didn’t know where it was either, but it is in West Africa. Nathan and Jennifer managed to hop and earlier flight than everyone else did, but they all ended up together on the connection. They all had to take cabs to the train station. It was a bit humorous when the cabbie ripped Shana and Jennifer off for 1,000 francs. They may be blonde, but they certainly cannot work the charm of previous blonde teams!
Everyone took the train to Bingo where they had to perform a roadblock. One team member had to milk a camel, filling a bowl to line, and then drink the milk. The ones that remained calm finished first. Lorena, Azaria, Julia and Jennifer’s camels all went dry, so they had to wait until everyone else was finished, and then use their camels. Poor Lorena finished last and she literally had a meltdown on camera. It was almost uncomfortable to watch.
After the roadblock, teams had a detour – teach it or learn it. They had to either learn 10 words from the local language or teach a schoolchild 10 English words. Azaria and Hendekea finished this detour very quickly, which allowed them to arrive first at the pit stop. They won a trip for two to Bermuda for their efforts. It was a close foot race between five teams with TK and Rachel coming in second, Nathan and Jennifer coming in third, Kynt and Vyxsin coming in fourth, Ron and Christina coming in fifth, and Donald and Nicolas coming in sixth. It was funny seeing all those teams hovered around the mat. Shana and Jennifer finished in seventh place. Again, there was a foot race for eighth, with Lorena and Jason barely beating out the sister team of Marianna and Julia.
