The Amazing Race: Shana and Jennifer are Eliminated
This week, the teams set off for Vilnuis, Lithuania. Donald and Nicholas ran into trouble with the ticket agent. I’m not really sure why she told them the 1:25 pm arrival tickets were sold out, then sold some to Nathan and Jennifer, but maybe she understood them better than they thought she did. Ronald and Christina were on the late flight alone but managed to make up the time.
After landing, the teams ran into a Roadblock. They had to deliver a basket to someone at the Vilnuis University Courtyard. Then that person would have them deliver a book to one of four places to get their next clue. Poor Nicholas – he and Donald arrived first and left last. He and Hendekea both had trouble finding the hair salon. TK ran into what looked like some fellow hippies that really helped him out.
The teams drove to Rumsiskes. Turns out that Lithuania is the Gnome capital of the world – who know? So each team had to find a specific gnome and carry him with them to the pit stop. After finding the gnome, they went to a festival where they ran into a Detour – Countdown (count pickets in a fence) or Step Up (walk on stilts). Both Kynt and Vyxsin and Azaria and Hendekea tried the stilt walking, but switched to counting. The only problem was the festival participants were trying to distract you while counting. Nathan and Jennifer were at each other’s throats, with him eventually calling her “bitch” when she asked him if she could pass while he was counting. Shana and Jennifer were in last place and kept arguing the whole show.
The pit stop was at the Aukstaitija windmill. TK and Rachel finished in first, Kynt and Vyxsin in second, Ronald and Christina in third, Azaria and Hendekea in fourth, Nathan and Jennifer in fifth, and Donald and Nicolas beat out the blondes to finish in sixth. I thought maybe this would be a non-elimination round, but it wasn’t.
