The Bachelor: Brad Chooses…No One?

What? You have got to be kidding me? The episode started out with Brad’s mom and brothers meeting both DeAnna and Jenni. The mom seemed to love DeAnna, nicknaming her DiDi, but Jenni’s visit was a little more distant. When Brad’s mom asked Jenni if she loved Brad, she hesitated. She later told his mom she was falling in love with Brad. As Brad put DeAnna in the car, he said he would be thinking about her, but he didn’t tell Jenni that. Could things have changed?

Then they each got a last date with Brad. DeAnna did the “I’m falling in love with you thing” but Jenni actually came out and said, “I love you” after reading him part of her journal. Both girls, once confident, were scared.

And I guess they should have been! Brad picked out a lovely engagement ring. Jenni came out first. He told her how he knew he was in trouble as soon as he saw her smile. But then he proceeded to tell her that he wanted something more he couldn’t find with their relationship. Her lips trembled as she said she was embarrassed she told him she loved him.

So, I am thinking he will ask DeAnna to marry him. She comes out and he tells her how he thought about their first kiss and how it made him feel. Then he leaves her at the alter and walks around for a minute. Then he comes back and tells her that he can’t look her in the eyes and say “I love you.” So he tells her goodbye too. But while Jenni rather fell to pieces, DeAnna fought back. When he told her “Do you know how much I care about you?”, she said “No!”

Through the whole episode, Brad kept lamenting about what a tough choice he had. He went on and on about how wonderful both women were. DeAnna said they talked about kids and home life. Then he chooses no one? I myself was falling in love with Brad until this – excuse me – crap of not choosing anyone. I mean honestly, he knew what the show was about when he signed up for it. I feel gypped.

Tomorrow night there will be the “After the Rose” ceremony (which should be changed to the “After the Rip-Off” ceremony) which will bring both girls and Brad back together. Maybe we can get some answers then.
