The Bachelor: Hillary and Kristy are Eliminated
The stakes tonight were huge – two would leave and the four remaining girls would get to take Brad home to meet their family. There was a one-on-one date with Sheena, a one-on-one date with Bettina, and a group date with Kristy, Jenni, Hillary, and DeAnna.
Bettina got a great dinner and gondola ride date, but what is up with her playing the vestal virgin? Seriously, when the gondola passed under the bridge, she kissed him on the cheek? Is she 13 or 30? Sheena got the really great date – got to pick a gown, dinner, diamond earrings to keep, and dancing to violins. I think the fact that Chad liked her really impressed Brad. But Bettina was sour grapes, saying Sheena’s date was so much better than hers was. Jenni confronted her on it and Bettina said she was just joking, but I didn’t see it that way. I am starting to not like Bettina at all.
If you watched the show, the eliminations should come as no surprise. Kristy was almost non-existent during the whole group date. It was a pool party and she just sat off to the side while the other girls had fun. Hillary, on the other hand, talked to Brad. He kept trying to tell her “I’m laying my cards on the line” and tried to imply that they were just friends, but she wasn’t getting it. Sheena wrote Brad a poem about their date and he not only asked to keep the poem, but also asked her to dance. I think Sheena had just moved into competition with Jenni and DeAnna.
Poor Hillary had a breakdown after she was dismissed. So much so that Brad came out to talk to her again. I still don’t think she understood that all along he was telling her he was getting a friend vibe and not a love connection.
