The Bachelor: Jason Mesnick Tries to Explain
As if last night’s “The Bachelor” After the Rose reunion wasn’t enough, we got part two tonight. They brought back Naomi, Erica, Stephanie, Kara, and Nikki to talk about the shocking ending. Some said they understood, others were not quite as supportive. Chris talked to the audience and they had the same reaction – some supported Jason, but the one guy Chris talked to said he could never do that.
Chris brought Jason out and he tried to do damage control to his reputation, saying he didn’t regret where he was. He also said he thought he acted with integrity – that word was thrown around a couple of times. I thought last night’s reunion show was live, but it was six weeks ago, so there was six weeks between the engagement and the breakup, then six weeks before tonight’s show.
Melissa wouldn’t come back on the show, but sent a message saying she was going well. Molly joined Jason on stage and she said it had been a rough few weeks. She said people were questioning her morals. All I am questioning is my gullibility for falling for all this. Molly said they weren’t “characters on a television show” but that is exactly what they are! This all reeks of set up just to increase the ratings.
Anyhow, Molly is moving to Seattle and they were gushy in love on stage. I dunno, this may last, but then again, it may have the shelf life of a loaf of bread. I feel so jerked around at this point, it is hard to say.
Chris announced that Jillian is the next Bachelorette, which begins May 18th. I never felt a lot of love for Jillian, I would have rather seen Stephanie, but then again, maybe she has too much of that integrity stuff people were talking about to appear on this show again.
