The Bachelor, London Calling: Matt Picks Shayne
Well, I should have known it – the British bloke falls for the bleached blonde bimbo. But then, I was really not a big fan of Chelsea’s either.
Matt took each girl to London to meet his family. His brother Simon seemed to like Chelsea better, but mom and dad liked Shayne. Matt admitted that he felt the most passion for Chelsea but was most at ease with Shayne. Then all three went to Barbados. As usual, the show played up Chelsea. She finally opened up to Matt and gave him a gift of all the stuff he would need in California. Matt called her incredible. In addition, it seemed like he couldn’t get his lips off hers as he tried to leave the her room. Then he and Shayne went parasailing. She gave him a present too. It was a photo of her on the beach, writing, “I love you” in the sand. He said it melted his heart, but we saw him barely kiss her goodbye before he left.
Chelsea had on a striking Greek looking white dress while Shayne, ever the child, wore a baby doll formal. Matt saw Chelsea first and just told her that it took a long time for her to open up and it was a tough journey. She said she had no regrets after he told her he couldn’t choose her, but then she told him Shayne was the “falsest person here.” Hum, I think I would agree with that! He then said Chelsea didn’t know him very well. In the limo, she said she was afraid she was too honest with him and called him a fool.
Monkey came out in her yellow dress and when he dropped to his knees, I thought she was going to fall over too. He said, “I love you” and proposed with a beautiful ring. I honestly don’t see this one lasting past the expiration date on the milk in my fridge. Which is a shame – I like Matt, but as Chelsea said, I am afraid he is a fool.

I think Matt made the right decision. Shayne has a beautiful personality.
She’s bubbly and incredibly honest. Chelsea seems like she’s got way too many unresolved issues. Even she herself said whomever she got closed to, they always managed to get away in the end. Chelsea needs help.
