The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose
This final “Bachelorette” episode this season opened with Melissa, last year’s jilted “Bachelor” winner. She is now engaged and happy, but then you probably already knew that as she is in the news way more than Jason!
Kiptyn, who had never had his heart broken, came out and said that having his heart broken “sucks.” Jillian came out and he asked her what he did wrong, but she said nothing. We also found out she didn’t know he had a ring in his pocket until she had already told him she was in love with Ed. Kiptyn did say he had no hard feelings.
Reid came out and said he still feels the loss. It was sweet when he said he had a ring that wasn’t the greatest, but he was in a hurry. He wishes he could turn back time and feels like a little piece of him is missing. Could Reid be the next “Bachelor?” Possibly – you can go to http://beta.abc.go.com/ to vote for Reid, Jake, Kiptyn, or “someone else.”
Jillian came out to see Reid. He asked her if there was a part of her that wanted to say “Yes.” Oh, tough, heartbreaking question. Jillian was almost in tears, saying how hard it was for her to let him go the first time. She asked him if he regretted coming back to her and after a pause, he said “No.” Jillian looked puzzled when she told him now was the time to ask questions and he said that she had made her decision and nothing he could say would change that. Reid hesitated when Chris asked him if he still loved Jillian, but he finally said he did. He finally did ask her if it would have made a difference if he had told her he loved her earlier. She told him she was so in love with Ed and feel they were meant to be together. That was a bit uncomfortable! Reid was going to ask a question about the Fantasy Suite, but said it was wrong. What? Don’t leave us hanging like that!
Reid certainly had a girl from the audience flustered! It was funny when Chris gave him a rose to give her. She asked if he had been dating yet and if he’d go out with her. He wanted to know how old she was!
Jillian and Ed are still happily engaged, which was good news. Ed came out and picked her up. They do make a nice looking couple and couldn’t stop kissing. Jillian is going to move into Ed’s place in Chicago on September 1st. Ed said he thought they would get married within the next 12 months and both families are really excited they are together.
There was a clip of them in Spain where they walked hand in hand through an archway. There is an old saying that says if you do that, you will marry that person. We will see if that comes true!
