The Bachelorette: Jillian Meets the Guys
The new “Bachelorette” this season is Jillian, the Canadian beauty who was ditched by Bachelor Jason Mesnick before the finale. She was really heartbroken after falling in love with Jason, then being rejected. But, she gets another chance at love tonight.
The 25 bachelors Jillian had to choose were Kiptyn (a business developer), Michael (a break dance instructor), Julien (a restaurateur), Stephen (a lawyer), Juan (general contractor), Mark (a pizza entrepreneur), Kyle (a graphic designer), Sasha (an oil and gas consultant), Wes (a country singer), Greg (an entrepreneur), Jake (a pilot), Bryan (a high school coach), John P (a marketing specialist), Brian (an IT consultant), David (a trucking contractor), Tanner F (a sales rep), Robby (a bartender), John H (a branding consultant), Brad (a financial advisor), Mathue (a personal trainer), Simon (a soccer coach), Jesse (a wine maker), Adam (Olympic cyclist), Caleb (a photographer), and Josh (a lifeguard).
Jake was a cutie that seemed sincere and he came bearing a gift (wings). Poor David was so nervous that he just stumbled and stopped while speaking. Mathue brought his autographed cowboy hat. Simon was British – they had to subtitle his conversation. Julien and Jillian – that is just not going to work, even though he was handsome. Kyle went to the wrong door, which was a bit amusing. Jesse had on an “Aspiring Canadian” t-shirt. Greg and Michael had a dance-off.
Jillian told David she thought the freeze up was just a ploy for her to remember her, but it must have worked – he got the first impression rose.
Just when the guys were settling in, there was a surprise. Five more bachelors were brought in. There was Ed (a technology consultant), Reed, Mike, Tanner P (a financial analyst), and some guy whose name I didn’t get. Tanner P kind of grossed me out with his foot fetish. He HAD to see Jillian’s feet and went into great detail about arches and toejam – ew.
At the rose ceremony, nineteen guys got roses while ten were sent home. Those getting roses were Jake, Jesse, Wes, Mathue, Michael, Robby, Ed, Reed, Simon (which surprised me since we didn’t see Jillian talk to him at all), Kiptyn, Mike, Brian or Bryan (can’t remember which one), Sasha, Julien, Tanner P, Mark, Brad, Tanner F, and Juan.
I couldn’t remember what all the guys looked like but I think she sent Kyle, Stephen, both Johns, Adam, Caleb, Josh, Greg, one of the Brian/Bryans, and the unknown name guy home.
