The Bachelorette: Michael and Jesse Leave
Could this week’s “Bachelorette” have been any weirder? Yes, Jillian went home to meet the five remaining guys families, but that wasn’t the weird part.
First of all, Jake showed up and told Jillian that Wes had a girlfriend. We even got a name – Laurel. Jake told Jillian that Wes would deny it and say she was an old girlfriend and they had broken up. When Jillian confronted him, guess what he said? Uh huh, exactly what Jake said he would say. Jillian looked perplexed for a while, but then fell back into Wes’ web. He took her to meet his band when she first got there. Honestly, what does he have to do for her to understand he is a scrub? She met his family and they told her how great he was. Of course, they are going to, they are his family. Why didn’t Jake conference call Tanner and get him in on the conversation? Even if Wes doesn’t have a girlfriend (which I think he does), he is only there for his career!
After Jillian recovered from that, she had another surprise – Ed returned. He said he had made a mistake; he couldn’t think of anything but her and wanted to come back. She told him to show up at the rose ceremony.
I knew Michael was going home (although I thought he was a doll) and it seemed that he knew because he kept looking down and shifting from foot to foot. I figured Reid was out the door, but he got the first rose. Kiptyn, who seems to be one of her favorites despite the fact that his family was a bit hoity toity, got the second rose. Ed was given a second chance by receiving the third rose.
I knew, knew, knew she was going to give the fourth and final rose to Wes. Jesse said as he left that Wes was only there for his career and poor, young Michael seemed heartbroken. Apparently next week, his is going to let the “girlfriend” word slip before trying to cover with “ex-girlfriend.” What a dog.
