The Biggest Loser: Amy is Eliminated
Shaking the game up again, it was announced that the contestants are now on their own – no more teams, no more trios, no more duos. Amy tried to give her red shirt back to Kim after she switched to a black shirt, but Kim felt like it was a slap in the face and gave it back to her.
The first challenge was Donuts into Dollars. Each contestant could search donuts for one minute to find a token worth $5,000 – as long as they ate a donut to play each round. Kae refused to play at all. Everyone else played the first round, but the token wasn’t found. Nicole passed the second round, but still no one found the token. The last round had no time limit, but Julie sat out anyhow. Bill eventually found the token and said he planned to put the money in savings for his kid’s education.
The other challenge was to do a 24-kilometer triathlon. The first six to ride 20 kilometers on a bike would go on to the treadmill. The first three to finish there would go to the pool and swim the last kilometer. I felt sorry for Kae – she smoked the competition the first two events, but Hollie was in the finals and she was a swimming instructor, so she easily won the last event. Her prize was to get to go home for 24 hours and to get immunity at the next weigh in if she didn’t gain weight. But, she was also promised another power – to give another contestant a trip home and immunity. She chose Julie and Amy cried. I’m sorry, but Amy seemed to always be whining or crying about something.
At the weigh-in, Bill broke his 100-pound mark, about which he was very excited. Bryan and Amy fell below the yellow line. Jillian thought it was a no-brainer – that there were four on the black team to outvote the others. But Bill and Isabeau were unsure. Jillian pointed out what a threat Bryan was, but in the end, Isabeau was the swing vote and she voted for Amy. There was a lot of harsh talk about Amy at the table, especially from Kae. Don’t get me wrong – all of it was true! Amy has not been the most pleasant person to live with and she said several times she wanted to leave. After the voting, Amy said she felt like she was stabbed in the back and told the others they couldn’t trust Isabeau. But, she did go home and lose more weight, for a total of 100 pounds. Regardless, I am glad to see her off the show. She just had too much negative energy!
