The Biggest Loser: The Twins Take It All!

The finale of the Biggest Loser is always a great show. The transformations that take place are just incredible. But, tonight was also all about the numbers because numbers equal money. Of the fourteen eliminated, the biggest loser would win $100,000. Of the final four, the biggest loser would win $250,000. But, in reality, everyone is still a winner because of the weight he or she lost.

Here are the contestants, listed in the order in which they were eliminated, their beginning weight, ending weight, and weight loss percentage:

Amber: 295 lbs / 211 (lost 84 lbs) / 28.47%
Lezlye: 255 lbs / 200 (lost 55 lbs) / 21.57%
Jerry: 297 lbs / 187 (lost 110 lbs) / 37.04%
Patty: 280 lbs / 216 (lost 64 lbs) / 22.86%
Jim: 361 lbs / 175 (lost 186 lbs) / 51.52%
Phil: 403 lbs / 258 (lost 145 lbs) / 35.98%
Jez: 345 lbs / 195 (lost 150 lbs) / 43.48%
David: 368 lbs / 228 (lost 140 lbs) / 38.04%
Ryan: 374 lbs / 241 (lost 133 lbs) / 35.56%
Amy: 297 lbs / 171 (lost 126 lbs) / 42.42%
Kay: 225 lbs / 128 (lost 97 lbs) / 43.11%
Bryan: 346 lbs / 224 (lost 122 lbs) / 35.26%
Nicole: 279 lbs / 174 (lost 122 lbs) / 35.26%
Neil: 421 lbs / 210 (lost 211 lbs) / 50.12%

It had to be heartbreaking to Neil to lose to Jim by just 5 costly pounds, but to me, Jerry was one of the most remarkable losers. He was the oldest ever to appear on the Biggest Loser at age 62, yet holds the record for most weight lost in one week (31 pounds). He was the third one eliminated, but still managed to lose 110 pounds – and at his age. It was a hoot when he pulled his shirt off and flexed.

Here’s the numbers for the final four:

Isabeau: 298 lbs / 185 (lost 113 lbs) / 37.92%
Hollie: 255 lbs / 150 (lost 105 lbs) / 41.18%
Julie: 218 lbs / 121 (lost 97 lbs) / 50.12%
Bill: 334 lbs / 170 (lost 164 lbs) / 49.10%

So Jim won the $100,000 and Bill won the $250,000. I have to point out that some of those eliminated, such as Kay, Amy, Jez, and David lost more than Isabeau, Kay, Amy, and Jez lost more than Hollie, and Neil lost as much as Julie and more than the big winner Bill.
