The Final Three?
I loved tonight’s episode! The four designers were to make any design they wanted. They had to have three words that described their outfits and they had to take pictures of their models that helped convey their words. The designers got to choose from 7 models and it seemed a bit tense when Uli took Nazri, who had been Michael’s model, but all the models were beautiful and did a great job. The winner of this challenge would be featured in Elle magazine.
They had a budget of $250 and I was really worried about Uli. After the first day, she decided her dress looked like a “kitchen dress” and tore it apart. The next day, their time was shortened when they found out they would be responsible for taking the pictures. But she put together a great outfit. It was one of my favorites. I didn’t really like Michael’s, but then he seemed to have a hard time designing it to begin with. I loved Jeffrey’s, but he went a different route this time. He went for a romantic look – very un-Jeffrey!
The judges (Michael, Nine, Heidi, and Teri) had very definite ideas about the designs. They all love Uli’s dress, which I thought was kinda funny since she had such problems with it the first day. They did not like Jeffrey’s attempt at romance, saying it was a surprise, but not a good surprise. They didn’t like Michael’s dress, saying it was ill-fitting and not flattering. They thought Laura’s dress was okay, but they are tired of seeing the same old look over and over. Uli was announced the winner, then Laura was told she could stay. It came down to Michael and Jeffrey. The judges agreed they loved both designers, just not tonight’s presentations. So, they decided to keep both of them. Instead of three designers going to Fashion Week, all four are going. I am glad they kept everyone. Like they said, the designers all have such varied styles.
