The Search for Elle Woods: Celina and Cassie are Eliminated

It was a tough week for many of the girls. Emma had to deal with a bout of bronchitis, Autumn flubbed her audition, and if your name began with a C, you were out of the competition. Okay, it wasn’t based on name, but Celina and Cassie were both kicked off this week.

The call sheet told the girls to go to the rehearsal studio. There, they met more stars of the show – Boo Boo and Teddy who alternate playing Elle’s dog Bruiser. Bill Berloni, associate choreographer, and Seth wanted to see which girl had a natural talent for working with dogs. Autumn was named the winner and she chose Celina to go with her to meet Richard Blake, who plays “Warner” in the show.

For the audition, the girl’s sang the song “Serious” with Richard as they performed a scene from the show. The judges thought Rhiannon was “fantastic,” wasn’t feeling Cassie, and felt Bailey was the same as the first day they met her. They felt Lauren was brace, Natalie was flat, Celina was not connected, and Autumn was just off. Even Autumn admitted it was her worst audition, which I hate because I like Autumn. Emma stole the show despite having bronchitis, with Paul saying she “shined.”

Moving on was Rhiannon, Emma, Lauren, Bailey, and Natalie. That put Autumn, Celina, and Cassie in the bottom three. I am starting to think that winning the first challenge is like the kiss of death. Lauren won last week, then found herself in the bottom three. I knew the judges thought Celina was talented, but just not Elle material. She was told she was being eliminated. But Bernie had another surprise – this week, there would be two girls going home. Cassie was told she was going home as well and she was pissed. She kept talking about working her butt off, blah, blah, blah. I am personally glad to see her leave the show. She couldn’t get along with any of the other girls and she had a bad attitude. When the judges told her she would make a great understudy, she said “that’s not going to make me a star on Broadway.” With an attitude like that, it is doubtful she will ever be a star on Broadway.
