Theresa is fired tonight on The Apprentice
I know I probably should talk about tonight’s episode, but I don’t want to. At least not the specifics. Truth is, if you are reading this blog you’ve probably already seen the show and don’t need me to tell you the details. And that’s a good thing, because tonight I want to talk about my favorite Apprentice contestant – Lenny.
Lenny makes me laugh. He has such a cut to the chase, forget the bullcrap way about him that’s pretty refreshing. In my opinion the majority of the people on this year’s show are just way too impressed with themselves. I mean, look at Theresa – there she is, fired by Trump and talks in the taxi about how she did a good job at the task. She has no clue. Trump all but told her if she brought Charmaine into the boardroom he would have fired her and not Theresa. But, back to Lenny. He cut to the chase last week when he said forget all the fluff, the main objective is to get the most number of text messages. This week I almost died laughing when in the boardroom when Trump asks who should he fire and Lenny replies both of them.
I guess in life we want to be surrounded by people we like, and get rid of the people we don’t. You can see this clearly with Lenny and with Brent. True, both of these people can be difficult to take, and I can imagine very difficult to manage. But in the first shows of the year they get brought into the boardroom not because of their performance on the task but because people don’t like them. Maybe that’s the right thing to do, and maybe not. But it sure makes for great television!
