Tim is fired on The Apprentice
Don’t you love the hype you see now before in the commercials for the Apprentice? We were told to watch out for the Trump tag team tonight. Maybe I’m just used to the show, but I really didn’t see anything that was overly harsh or critical as compared to the other boardrooms. Maybe it was because Ivanka was actually on the show tonight that they called it a Trump tag team.
Before going into a rant about tonight’s episode I have an observation to make. How come all the contestants only have one suitcase that they bring to the boardroom in anticipation of being fired, but when you see the video of the switch from mansion to tent city everyone has a suitcase, garment bag, and a large armful of dry cleaning? Just an observation.
Both teams were given the task to create an advertising supplement for a new mouthwash to be included in a Sunday edition of The Los Angeles Times. Kinetic once again went for the sex sells philosophy and tonight it worked. Of course the creative shape of the insert as the mouthwash bottles didn’t hurt either. Arrow wanted to show a cross section of people (all ages, races, colors and sizes) suffering from morning breath and then finding a solution with this mouthwash. Unfortunately the people on the street they asked to be in the ad didn’t convey the idea of bad breath, only boredom. Arrow missed the mark big time.
You could see it coming from a mile away, even during last week’s show that the next time Arrow lost a task that it would be Tim who was sent packing. Last week Trump told Nicole to dump him because he wasn’t loyal to her. You knew going into tonight’s boardroom that Trump questioned Tim’s loyalty so as long as the other members of Arrow made a good case for it Tim was going to get the ax. Frank was so right on when he said Tim was wet behind the ears. Keep your hormones in check young man. You have the job interview of a lifetime – the romance could have waited a few weeks.
And another observation I have – it always seems that when Kinetic has to go to the boardroom they treat each other with respect and professionalism. Arrow just got downright nasty – all of them except Stephanie.
So who is going to be left standing when it comes down to the final two contestants? Trump really likes Heidi and James so they are two real possibilities, but don’t count out Frank or Nicole. They have a toughness and tenacity that can get them pretty far.
