Top 5 Perform Two Songs on American Idol
Tonight on American Idol, the top 5 contestants had two chances to get the votes from the American public. The first song, each contestant went back to the year they were born and I can’t believe that I am the say age as Taylor and older than Chris Daughtry, Katherine McPhee, Paris Bennet and Elliot Yamin. That is unbelieveable which is a great word to describe most of the performances the first time around. The best out of all of them was, of course, Chris Daughtry. In his usual fashion he wowed the crowd and showed that he really belonged on that stage.
The second song, each contestant was able to pick songs from any of the Billboard Charts and every single one of the contestants picked an amazing song. I believe Simon said it quite well, when he said to Taylor about picking a song that is 30 years old on today’s chart and making it sound good.
Only tonight’s votes will tell who will have the staying power to keep thriving for the top spot, which is becoming the next American Idol. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s result show on Fox.
