Top Design: Goil is Eliminated
The final four met at the Viceroy Hotel. Their challenge was to create a high end suite. Each had to choose an element. Andrea got earth (and whined about it the rest of the episode), Goil got fire, Matt got water, and Carisa got air. Each had $30,000 to spend plus $3,000 for linens. They also got three days instead of two to design their suites.
It was pretty funny that originally everyone had the same design layout. Goil changed his a bit, but wasn’t happy. He spent too much time on his back wall, which didn’t seem to impress the judges all that much. There was some excitement when Matt’s carpenter Ed but his finger. He got 8 stitches, but was back on the job. I guess carpenters are used to stuff like that.
The judges liked Carisa’s use of color (but I am still tired of her mouth). They did say the blinds would be bad for housekeeping. They liked Goil’s layout, but thought his design was too literal. They didn’t really care for Andrea’s grass and said her room was not consistent. They also thought she was too literal. They loved Matt’s suite. They felt it was luxurious and had great height. Matt was picked the winner and poor Goil, who jokingly said he would have to kill all the other contestants, was sent packing. I liked Goil, but right now, I think it is Matt’s show. He has been on a roll that even Andrea can’t seem to overtake.

I loved how all the contestants got catty and said that Matt’s colors looked like a nursery and his molding looked weird. The judges absolutely loved all of it. I think that competition is getting the best of everyone and the claws are coming out. I too am so sick and tired of Carissa’s mouth. She pulled that design out of her butt if you ask me. I didn’t like all the vents, I think it would have made me feel like sleeping in a cage. Of course I might just be saying that because I really can’t stand Carissa right now but who knows.
