TTOW My Ass! AR9, episode 10
With 4 teams left, the tension was high going into tonight’s episode. It has finally dawned on the remaining teams that they have a real chance to win this race, and that just adds to the pressure they are feeling. Teams traveled around Australia and evened up at the Swan Bells. Teams then traveled to Darwin and drove themselves to a Crocodile Farm where they waded through a pit. The then encountered a Roadblock. The task was to do a tandem skydive out of a plane, which all the teams seemed to enjoy. Teams then drove to the Termite Mounds, where they searched the area for a clue box. The Detour they had was a choice between Wet- a hike/swim course or Dry- a drive on an off-road path where they were to follow the music and locate an aboriginal with the same instrument, where they played a note on the instrument before finishing the leg of the race.
BJ and Tyler- Are struggling from being in the back of the pack. They continue to use their power word TTOW, meaning Circle of Universe to stay positive. The tension with Mojo escalates as they fuel the fire by spreading rumors about Monica and Eric. Staying true to their word, they yielded MoJo, and MoJo was NOT happy about it. This move enabled them to take over first place. They struggled with the wet task, but made it through in time to fight with everyone for second place. They competed in a foot race to the finish, but because Tyler didn’t have any shoes on, they came in last. Fortunately for them, it was a non-elimination round.
Ray and Yolanda- Continue to alienate the other teams by hanging out by themselves. The other teams are talking behind their backs about Ray being on a short leash. After the rumor started about MoJo canceling everyone’s cabs, they too start talking shit, referring to Monica as the Barbie Doll. Jeremy flirted with Yolanda this leg, and I am not sure what his intention was. They chose the dry task, and were successful playing the instrument. For the first time, they were the first to arrive at the final leg. They actually did their navigation well, and it paid off!
Eric and Jeremy- Eric and Jeremy were the first to depart, with their focus being on getting into the final three. The team tried to hold the other teams back by sneakily canceling their Taxis. The plan worked, except for their Taxi never arrived either and they had a hard time finding a new one. As they put it “Karma bit them in the Ass.” However, since they did not have a cab either, everyone assumed MoJo had done it since they did. The team did however, find a cab, and catch up with the other teams. They struggled with the wet task, but made it through. In the foot race, they managed to come in second.
Monica and Joe- MoJo continues to create tension with the other teams, especially with the Hippies, who they HATE. They admit to being vindictive, but think the hippies are being tricky. The team further alienated the other teams when they are wrongly blamed for canceling everyone’s Taxis. The team tried to bribe the ticket window clerk by offering him a big kiss, to which he really didn’t seem interested. The Yielding by the Hippies caused the two other teams to pass them AND start another fight within the MoJo team. They chose the dry task, and quickly completed it. They were also in a foot race to the end, and edged out the Hippies for third place.
At this point, it is really anyone’s game. The winner is going to be dependent on who has the best luck. Whichever team makes even the smallest mistake in the next round, will be eliminated. Personally, I would like to see MoJo the next to be eliminated.
