Week 8 of The Biggest Loser
I started writing this article as a summary of what happened this week on The Biggest Loser. Even though I sat diligently in front of my television with a note pad and pen, I just can’t seem to write it. I think I’ll take this entry more as a commentary on the show than a play by play of the episode.
Have you noticed the emotion on the show lately? Andrea cries to Bob because she missed a birthday. Matt cries when he votes Mark off the show. Everyone cries when they see their loved ones behind the bikes at the challenge. Maybe NBC should change the name of the show to The Biggest Crier or something along that line.
Maybe it’s just the way the show is being edited. I guess that going through such a life changing experience would be emotional, but the past episode or two the water works have been flowing. The more I think about it, the more I’m leaning towards emotional editing. Ok, I guess I should let the readers know what happened, in case you did miss it. Seth and Suzy win the challenge and get immunity from being voted off this week. Mark and Andrea have the lowest weight loss percentage this week, and ultimately Mark is voted off. But Mark looks great – he’s lost 130 pounds since he went to the ranch and says he’s in the best shape of his life. I guess that emotions could be a good thing if it helps someone turn their life around.
