What a Birthday Present!
The show starts out with Kaysar half-heartedly asking for votes. I think he honestly felt bad going up against James. Too bad James didn’t feel the same way.
For filler time, we met Will and Mike’s moms, Judy and Bonnie. About all we find out is that Will has always had girlfriends (big surprise there – not!) and Mike used to be fat. And Mike’s mom hinted at a secret alliance between Mike and Erika. Huh?
Boogie told Kaysar Chill Town trusted Kaysar more than James, but apparently not – they voted for Kaysar! Even Chicken George chickened out and voted for Kaysar. In the end, only Janelle and Howie were loyal to Kaysar. Unfortunately, James decided to use his “nullify the vote” pass on Janelle’s vote. Which may prove to be detrimental to him – he didn’t really need to use it. If he had let Janelle’s vote count, it still would have been 5-2 for Kaysar. And the house voted him out on his birthday - how cruel! I personally hope that decision comes back to smack James in the face.
The houseguests see the ghosts of seasons past before the HOH competition. The competition is based on questions about what the past houseguests said. If they got it wrong, they were out. If everyone got it right, the last person to answer was out. I think Howie got robbed because Julie had to tell him to answer. He said he had already pressed the button. I did a rewind and it did look like he hit the button. Someone said in the background that he had to press twice to activate it. In the end, Erika won. Which seems odd…does she have an alliance with anyone, other than a possible alliance with Boogie?
Anyhow, a new twist was added. The houseguests have one chance to guess at a phrase for which they are given clues. The first one to guess correctly gets the Coup d’Etat Power. They can overthrow the HOH decisions and put others up on the chopping block right before voting. And no one will know about this power except the winner. Should prove interesting!
Quote of the Episode: “We have an alliance with everyone in the house!” - Mike Boogie to Will.
