Who Will Be the Final Six Guys?
Down to the final 8 guys on American Idol. This Thursday, two of them will go home and the other six will join six girls in the coveted Final 12 spot. I was really disappointed with the guys tonight, as were the judges. They are just so sketchy – some times they bring it and some times it seems like they left it home in the fridge.
Blake was good. Randy said he was an original, which seems to be what they are looking for. I thought Sanjaya did better than last week, but could he really have done any worse? What was up with the straightened hair? I still hope he makes it through. Randy and Paula thought Sundance was hot, but Simon thought he sounded like a generic bar singer. Randy said Chris R. was in it to win it, but I kinda felt like Simon – it was not his best performance. Randy said Jared’s song was solid, but Paula and Simon disagreed. I keep hearing Simon say it was like something from the Love Boat every time Jared sings. I think he may be relying too much on his looks. Simon is nervous for Brandon, which has got to suck going into the final six. None of the judges liked Phil’s song. For me, it was kinda bad at first – he definitely cannot sing low notes. I liked Chris S.’s song, but the judges didn’t care much for his performance. Even usually overly nice Paula called it “middle of the road.”
I predict that Brandon and Jared will go home this week. Sanjaya may be the weaker singer, but I think the girls will vote him into the final six.
