With a Little Help From Your Friends

There were still seven teams left. David and Mary had to come in first or suffer a 30 minute penalty for finishing last on the previous leg. I thought for sure there was no way this could happen, but it did.

The teams had to get to Kuwait City to the Kuwait Towers. The first Fast Forward of the race appeared and Erwin and Godwin let David and Mary go for it. They had to put out a fire, but it was enough to have them finish in first place. They won a trip to Jamaica for it, but I’m not really sure they know where that is.

The Road Block was to climb the outside of the Kuwait Towers. Most of the people had an easy time of it, but Erwin had a fear of heights. And I don’t know why when there is climbing involved, Peter has Sarah do it. Even other contestants said something about that. But everyone made it through.

For the Detour, they could choose manual or automatic. Manual was filling 10 bags with camel feed and automatic was working a robot jockey on a racing camel. The Barbies, the Models, the Cho Brothers, and Peter and Sarah got lost. Eventually, Erwin and Godwin gave up trying to find the camel club and did the feed bags. After the Detour, they had to make their way to the water towers where David and Mary were. Kandice and Dustin finished second, Rob and Kimberly finished third, Lyn and Karlyn finished fourth, Erwin and Godwin finished fifth (I was so glad they weren’t eliminated after helping David and Mary!), and Tyler and James finished sixth.

I don’t think Peter and Sarah even filled the feed bags, but eventually found their clue after dark and headed to the water towers, where they were told they were last and would be eliminated. Frankly, I am glad. Peter was so mean to her. When asked about their relationship, they agreed they were better as friends, although as nasty as he was at times, I don’t think I would even want to be his friend!
