Randy Jackson has put his magic touch on another reality show - MTV's "America' s Best Dance Crew". This show separates itself from other dance competition shows in that it features street dance crews rather than individuals or duos. Each week, you get to see the best street dance crews krump, grind, and showcase their best moves as they battle for the title of America's Best Dance Crew. The show is produced by American Idol's Randy Jackson and the first season began airing on MTV in February 2008. It was such a success that Season 2 is scheduled to start June 2008.
The show is hosted by Dancing with the Stars runner-up Mario Lopez, with Layla Kayleigh serving as the show's backstage correspondent. The judges for the show included:
- Rapper Lil Mama - Lil Mama has been featured on remixes to singles such as "Show Me What You Got" ( Jay-Z), "Girlfriend" with Avril Lavigne, "Beautiful Girls" with Sean Kingston (she was also featured in the video), and "Just Fine" with Mary J. Blige. Lil Mama's hit single "Lip Gloss" was nominated for the Monster Single of the Year award at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.
- JC Chasez - JC Chasez is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor who is best known as one of the lead singers of the boy band 'N Sync. JC wrote many songs for 'N Synch including "No Strings Attached," "Bringin' Da Noise," and "Space Cowboy." He has made guest appearances on "The Ghost Whisperer" and "Las Vegas."
- Shane Sparks - Choreographer Shane Sparks has appeared as a choreographer and judge on "So You Think You Can Dance." He won the American Choreography Award in 2004 for his work in the film You Got Served. Shane has worked with artists such as Aaliyah, Monica, and Lindsay Lohan. He was one of several choreographers that conducted "The Pulse," a hip-hop workshop held in cities throughout America in 2006 and 2007.
